How much does monthly SEO and AEO support cost?

Konzept publishes SEO & AEO from EUR 750 per month. That is the starting price on the pricing page, and it is a floor for a scope rather than a fixed figure for every site.

The published retainer covers five things:

  1. An SEO and AI audit of the current site.
  2. Schema and structured data implementation.
  3. Information architecture refinement.
  4. Authority and entity optimisation.
  5. Ongoing visibility monitoring.

Read SEO & AEO performance for how that work is delivered month to month.

What is AEO, and why price it separately?

SEO earns a position in a results page. AEO earns a citation inside an answer that an engine writes for the user. The engines that matter today are ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews.

The difference changes the work. A ranking page can bury its answer under an introduction. A cited page cannot. An engine lifts a direct answer, a table, a definition or a list, so the page has to hold those shapes in a form a machine can extract.

Both disciplines share the same foundation: crawlable pages, correct canonicals, valid structured data and a clean internal link graph. AEO adds answer-first structure, named entities and facts that a machine can verify against other sources.

The AEO guide explains the on-page pattern in detail.

What changes the price?

Five variables decide where an engagement sits above the published floor:

  1. Page count, and how many distinct templates those pages use.
  2. Language count. A bilingual site doubles review and doubles schema checks.
  3. Technical debt: broken canonicals, duplicate subdomains, invalid schema, slow templates.
  4. Whether the plan includes writing content or only implementing changes.
  5. Reporting depth, and how many stakeholders read it.
Site profileRecurring work each monthEffect on scope
Small single-language siteMonitoring, small fixes, one content reviewSits near the published floor
Multi-template service siteSchema per template, internal linking, answer blocksLarger, steady monthly scope
Bilingual site with a blogEverything above, twice, plus translation reviewLargest recurring scope

Ask any agency which of these five variables its price assumes. A retainer quoted without that answer is a guess.

What does the first month look like?

The first month is an audit and a fix list, not a report for its own sake. A useful audit ends with ordered work, each item with an owner and an expected effect.

A typical sequence runs:

  1. Crawl the site and record every indexable URL.
  2. Check canonicals, hreflang, robots rules and duplicate hosts.
  3. Validate structured data on every template, not on one sample page.
  4. Test the buyer questions in each answer engine and record the cited URLs.
  5. Map the internal link graph and find orphan pages.
  6. Rank the fixes by expected effect against effort.

That sequence gives a baseline. Without it, later reporting has nothing to compare against.

How long before it shows?

Technical fixes change crawling within weeks. Ranking and citation changes take longer, because engines revisit pages on their own schedule and because competitors move too.

Agree the measurement period before the work starts. Then judge progress on leading signals: indexed pages, impressions per URL, click-through rate, and which URLs the engines cite when asked your buyer questions.

Traffic alone is a poor monthly verdict. A page can gain qualified visits and lose total visits in the same month, and the second number is the one that looks worse.

What sits outside the retainer?

Paid media budget is separate and is paid to the platform. Conversion work is a different discipline: CRO starts from EUR 1,500 per month and covers analysis, experiment design, experiment cycles and reporting.

A rebuild is a project, not a retainer. The project tiers start at EUR 14,500 for Growth, EUR 29,500 for Scale and EUR 44,000 for Enterprise. If the current site cannot be fixed template by template, the honest recommendation is a project, not a larger retainer.

How do I get a quote?

Send the site URL, the page count, the languages, the analytics and Search Console access status, the buyer questions you want to win, and the person who approves content changes.

Start with a quote request. The first call should agree what is measured and when it is reviewed, before any monthly figure is fixed.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

How much does monthly SEO and AEO support cost?

Konzept publishes SEO & AEO from EUR 750 per month. The retainer includes an SEO and AI audit, schema and structured data implementation, information architecture refinement, authority and entity optimisation, and ongoing visibility monitoring. Site size, language count and technical debt decide where a specific engagement sits above that floor.

What is AEO and how does it differ from SEO?

SEO earns ranking positions in a results page. AEO earns a citation inside an answer written by an engine such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude or a Google AI Overview. Both need clean technical foundations, but AEO also needs direct answers, structured data and extractable facts.

What changes the price of a retainer?

Page count, language count, the amount of technical debt, the number of templates that need schema, and whether the plan includes writing or only implementation. A bilingual site with twelve service templates carries more recurring work than a ten-page site in one language.

Is there a minimum commitment before results show?

Technical fixes can change crawling within weeks. Ranking and citation changes usually take longer, because engines revisit pages on their own schedule. Judge a retainer on a period agreed before it starts, and on leading signals such as indexing, impressions and citations, not on one month of traffic.

What is not included in the SEO and AEO retainer?

Paid media budget, conversion experiments and large development projects sit outside the retainer. CRO starts from EUR 1,500 per month and covers analysis, experiment design, experiment cycles and reporting. A full rebuild follows the project tiers, which start at EUR 14,500 for Growth, EUR 29,500 for Scale and EUR 44,000 for Enterprise.

How is AEO progress measured?

Track impressions and clicks per URL in Search Console, referrals from AI tools in analytics, and a fixed list of buyer questions asked in each engine every quarter. Record which URLs the engines cite. That list turns an uncertain channel into a repeatable measurement.
